Since 2022, we have been working on a complete upgrade of our irrigation system to a Rain Bird solution, including individual control of sprinkler heads. Field zones such as greens and tees are now managed separately and can be irrigated per location, based on current needs and weather conditions.

The smart system allows us to adjust programs via mobile app or central IQ platform. This has a number of technical advantages:

Water savings:

 • Weather-controlled irrigation, with automatic adjustment of irrigation based on local weather data, temperature and evaporation (ET value). This can save up to 30% in water.

• Individual zoning to apply water per zone, distributing more efficiently and avoiding overspray.

• Sensor integration, with rain, frost and soil moisture sensors to disable irrigation in unnecessary conditions

Energy saving & storage costs:

• Energy-efficient pumps, working with more efficient pump systems to further reduces power consumption.

• Less water transport, using targeted irrigation to reduce both water and energy consumption.

• Lower maintenance, using modern, rain and sensor-controlled systems to prevent wear and tear and malfunctions.
