Heather restoration can come in many forms. Over time, Gorse and saplings can become invasive on Heathland. The removal of areas of mature gorse and saplings has allowed the Heather to flourish and begin to re-establish.

By creating these areas we are not only seeing the heather regenerate but also increases in many of the Mosses and Lichens that are on the decline in Lincolnshire and surrounding counties.
