The restaurant at our golf course - Bistro Sans - employs environmentally friendly and sustainable takeaway packaging. Furthermore, they have adjusted several types of products in order to reduce and discourage littering out on the course.
An example is a bar of complimentary chocolate served with each cup of coffee, which used to have plastic wrapping that would sadly find its way onto the course. The restaurant now serves homebaked biscuits with coffee instead, thus eliminating the plastic wrapping.
Another example is the plastic wrappers on ice creams. During a warm summer, the course is often littered with these. To address this problem, the restaurant has found a sustainable supplier, which includes the packaging used.
