Since 2022, we have been able to make incremental savings on the water demand at Pinhal by closely auditing the irrigation sprinkler placement and condition. During the audit, the decision was made to make more use of part circle sprinklers which has allowed for more targeted application of water and this has led to a reduction of the overall irrigated area. Now we are only irrigating the areas that need it. Compared to the 2022 volumes, we have managed to achieve a 15% reduction of irrigation through water auditing and close monitoring of turf conditions.
