Working in partnership with our machinery supplier, Double A, we have refined our servicing and maintenance contract to eliminate over-servicing of our fleet. The refinements made to our contract saved 40% of our servicing budget which we were then able to reallocate towards other areas such as overtime and machinery repairs.
The refinements also led to a reduction in hydraulic oils by approximately 130 liters per annum and will reduce the carbon footprint of our machinery servicing as Double A do not have to attend the site at the same frequency as prior to the changes.
