Recycling water saved 5,000 gallons

WM Phoenix Open

United States

With the WM Phoenix Open taking place in a desert environment, it is incredibly important to conserve natural resources, with water a key focus. One initiative is to recycle graywater from the kitchens in the concession areas for use in the portable toilets, saving 5,000 gallons of water.

As part of the education program, the team of Thunderbirds have come up with plenty of fun ways to help fans learn about ways to reduce water consumption through interactive information points around the venue. Additionally, the tournament restored 50 million gallons of water to Verde River Valley in 2020, and 320 million gallons over five years.
