At Umhlali we have implemented a bird ringing program, whereby a licensed bird ringer comes onto our premises from time to time, nets the birds, rings them, records them and then releases them unharmed.
We have detailed records of all captures and have been able to start plotting birds being captured and already ringed. The picture shows the rare Spotted Eagle Owl which has been recorded on site at the club.
