We have a good relationship with our local Wildlife Trust and one of the highlights of this relationship has been in the erecting and monitoring of owl boxes. So far we have had eight barn owl chicks raised from the boxes and four tawny owl chicks. These have been recorded and the chicks ringed before leaving the nest.
The trust has over 50 boxes in the local area and our boxes have been some of the most successful, which we believe is down to the extensive habitat, particularly grasslands that are available for their hunting.
