As part of our eco-responsible policy, we regularly undertake reforestation campaigns to help preserve our ecosystem.
At the beginning of the year, we replanted areas from our 2019, 2020, and 2022 planting campaigns. Rather than opening new plots, we chose to strengthen existing ones by replacing, tree by tree, those that did not survive the scorching summer heat.
Thanks to the efforts of the teams led by our golf course superintendent and his team, 102 young trees were added to the existing vegetation, including: 41 Cork oaks (Quercus suber) 25 Turkey oaks (Quercus cerris) 8 Aleppo pines (Pinus halepensis) 15 Stone pines (Pinus pinea) and 13 Service trees (Sorbus domestica), whose fruits feed the birds on the resort.
The timing of this replanting is no coincidence: by taking root before spring, these young trees are be able to develop their root systems without artificial irrigation, thus preparing for the summer heat.
