Pielis-Golf is at the forefront of its commitment to sustainable energy generation through the implementation of solar panels across the entire site. These solar panels play a vital role in powering both the maintenance facility and the clubhouse. Consequently, all electrical equipment, including five electric golf carts, seven electric robotic lawn mowers, and the electricity consumed in the clubhouse, operates on renewable energy.
In periods of high energy production, we have the opportunity to sell surplus electricity back into the national grid. This not only benefits us economically but also contributes to the availability of green energy for the broader community.
With this combined effort with our local energy provider, we ensure that over half of our annual electricity consumption is sourced from renewable, sustainable energy throughout the year.
