A amplitude dos fairways e greens do campo de golf da Batalha, se por um lado são desafiantes atributos do campo, por outro tem permitido, por via de pontuais alterações dos seus “layouts”, reduzir as suas áreas relativas, tornando a manutenção do campo globalmente mais sustentável em temos económicos e ambientais.
São exemplo destas ações o avanço do início dos fairways relativamente aos tees para 50m, bem como o estreitamento de alguns deles, assim como a redução de aproximadamente 1,5m relativamente ao contorno periférico de cada green.
Estas ações de impacte imediato com os jogadores regulares do campo, tem tido boa aceitação pela sua grande maioria, considerando inclusive alguns que tais medidas têm contribuído para a elevação do nível tático do campo.

Our passion for golf and appreciation for the scenery led us to explore ways to enhance the Battle Golf Course during this holiday period. The course, while challenging, has allowed us to make timely adjustments to its layout to reduce its overall area. This has made the course's maintenance more sustainable, both economically and environmentally.
Examples of these actions include advancing the start of fairways closer to the tees by 50 meters, as well as treating certain roughs and reducing the rough height to 1.5 meters around the perimeter of each green.
These actions have had an immediate impact on our regular players, and have been well-received by most, with some even considering these measures to have contributed to a higher level of tactical play on the course
