A small group of volunteers are working on a handful of environmental projects. One such is the “Operation Pollinator“ scheme which we joined in 2020. That year we sowed two small trial areas, the results were encouraging and we learned a huge amount.
Our efforts have earned the approval of the Club’s greenkeeping team. With their support we are now scaling up. This is an ‘out of play area behind our 17th tee. The top grasses have been trimmed prior to the removal of the surface turf. We will then be sowing wildflower seeds on this area and several like it.
