Auf dem Golfplatz in Lipperswil gibt es über 300 verschiedene Obstbäume vor Ort. Für die Apfelernte arbeitet die Golf Lipperswil AG mit der Firma "Gartengold" und der Institution Valida St.Gallen zusammen. Menschen, die Unterstützung brauchen, ernten gut zwei Wochen lang die Äpfel auf dem Golfplatz. Aus den Äpfeln stellt die Firma Gartengold dann ihren eigenen Apfelsaft, Apfelprosecco und Apfelschorle her, die dann im Restaurant des Golfclubs verkauft werden. In diesem Jahr mussten 17 Apfelbäume ersetzt oder ergänzt werden. Es wurden nur alte, resistente Apfelbaumsorten gepflanzt. Der Head Greenkeeper wurde von "Pro Specia Rara" bei der Auswahl der Sorten unterstützt. Pro Specie Rara ist eine Stiftung, die sich für eine kulturelle, historische und genetische Vielfalt von Pflanzen und Tieren einsetzt. Die Greenkeepers und Clubmanager vom Golfclub Lipperswil, der Geschäftsführer von Gartengold und die Mitarbeitenden von Valida St.Gallen halfen bei der Pflanzaktion.

There are over 300 different fruit trees on-site on the golf course in Lipperswil. For the apple harvest, Golf Lipperswil AG works with the company "Gartengold" and the Valida St.Gallen institution. People in need of support harvest the apples on the golf course for a good two weeks. The Gartengold company then uses the apples to produce their own apple juice, apple prosecco and apple spritzer, which are then sold in the golf club's restaurant.
This year 17 apple trees had to be replaced or supplemented. Only old, resistant apple tree varieties were planted. The head greenkeeper was supported by "Pro Specia Rara" in selecting the varieties. Pro Specie Rara is a foundation that advocates a cultural, historical and genetic diversity of plants and animals. The Greenkeepers and Clubmanager from the Lipperswil Golf Club, the managing director of Gartengold and the employees of Valida St.Gallen helped with the planting campaign.
