New sandy waste areas replace invasive species

The course over the past few decades has changed from what used to be known as 'the sand hills' to areas of invasive buckthorn, lupins and even trees. These areas have been scraped back to sand and there is a considerable amount of fresh marram coming through. There is a total of five new areas this year with plans to do a few more. The changes of depth will even encourage some reeds where the sand comes close to the water table.
