We are excited to announce the successful installation of the state-of-the-art Toro Lynx Irrigation system. This cutting-edge technology is designed to revolutionise our irrigation practices, focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
One of the key advancements offered by the new irrigation system is the innovative computer software, enabling water application to be measured in millimeters rather than minutes. This breakthrough allows us to customise watering programs precisely, ensuring that the turf grass receives the exact amount of water needed to maintain optimal health. By tailoring irrigation based on evapotranspiration rates, we can replace the precise percentage of water lost, thereby conserving resources and maximising water efficiency.
The implementation of the Toro Lynx system also holds additional benefits for our course maintenance. Improved irrigation accuracy significantly reduces the risk of turf loss during periods of extreme drought. This reduction in turf loss, in turn, minimises the need for additional fertilisers and seed during any re-establishment phase, supporting our commitment to sustainable practices.
