Durant l'année 2018 et grâce à une aide financière de l'agence de l'eau Rhin Meuse, le Golf du Rhin a investi dans du matériel qui a terme permettra de réduire les consommations d'eau, et d'engrais mais aussi l'utilisation des produits phytosanitaires. Nous avons donc acheté un broyeur de végétaux qui permet de valoriser nos déchets en créant du mulch pour nos parterres. L'objectif avoué est de limiter au maximum l'utilisation du glyphosate. Une couche de mulch permet en effet de réduire le développement des mauvaises herbes, protège les végétaux du froid mais aussi évite l'évaporation en période de fortes chaleurs. Durant l'année végétative une personne passe une journée par semaine pour le désherbage manuel des parterres.

In 2018, thanks to a financial aid from the Rhine Meuse water agency, Du Rhine Golf invested in equipment that will ultimately reduce water consumption, fertilizer use and use of plant protection products.
We bought a plant mulcher that allows us to add value to our waste by creating mulch for our beds. The goal is to minimize the use of glyphosate. A layer of mulch makes it possible to reduce the development of weeds, protects bed plants from the cold and reduces evaporation during periods of high heat. During the vegetative year a person spends one day a week for manual weeding of the beds.
