In conjunction with the local environmental department, we have created five new frog pools, or "nesting ponds", in a low lying wet area of the golf course. The frog pools have been created with minimal water flow going through them so not to disturb the environment but in a cascading effect, utilising the current wet landforms adjacent to the existing, larger ponds.
The pools have had old tree stumps and logs inserted for ledges. Once the natural plant life grows back around these providing protection they will be a real asset to our aquatic environment.
