PuulaGolfin kentälle asennetut linnunpöntöt ovat konkreettinen osoitus siitä, miten golfkenttä voi edistää luonnon monimuotoisuutta. Nest boxes have been installed on the PuulaGolf course as a concrete example of how a golf course can promote biodiversity. These boxes provide nesting sites for cavity-nesting birds such as tits, pied flycatchers, and redstarts, which in turn help naturally control insect populations.
The presence of birds enriches the course’s ecosystem and creates a balance between humans and nature. In this way, the golf course serves not only as a venue for sports but also as a habitat for various species. With these nest boxes, the course supports sustainable development and strengthens its natural values.
