Mjölby GK became the ninth club in Sweden and first club in Östergötland to become GEO Certified in 2014. The work that led to the certification was done with a municipal ecologist.
This resulted in the documentation of several keystone species on the site. Through a LONA contribution (which is a nature conservation fund) the club has been able to set up a 600-meter nature trail. The nature trail will, among other things, be used for outdoor education for local schools.
