Nos últimos anos, trabalhamos para aumentar a diversidade de espécies nos três campos de golfe. Uma das áreas onde iniciamos foi nos nossos lagos, que são atrações naturais para pássaros, anfíbios e insetos. Ao cuidar da vegetação em redor das margens dos lagos criou-se um equilíbrio mais natural dentro dos mesmos. Á medida que a saúde dos lagos e margens melhorou, o número de espécies e a diversidade aumentaram. Quanto mais saudável a água, mais saudável o ecossistema. Diferentes especieis de aves encontram neste santuario as condiçoes ideais para viverem e se reproduzirem , entre as quais podemos encontrar; Garças-boi, mergulhão-pequeno, marreco, galinha-d'água comum, cauda azul ibérica, que convivem com insetos e anfíbios nativos como ; Imperador Azul e Libélula Escarlate, Cobras de Água Viperina e Sapo de Perezi, que têm um coaxar icônico durante a época de reprodução.

Over the past few seasons, we have been working to increase our species diversity across all three golf courses. One of the areas we started this was within our many lakes which are natural attractions to birds, amphibians and insects. Managing vegetation around the lake’s margins has created a more natural balance within the water; and as the lake and stream’s health has increased, the species numbers and diversity increases.
The healthier the water, the healthier the ecosystem. Regular inhabitants finding sanctuary and breeding include common bird species; Cattle Egrets, Little Grebe, Mallards, Common Moorhen, Iberian Blue-tail, along with native insects and amphibians; Blue Emperor and Scarlet Dragonfly’s, Viperine Water Snakes and the Perezi’s Frog which has an iconic croak during breeding season.
