Our golf course benefits from several natural water sources, including a spring located beside the 7th tee. Recognising this valuable resource, our Head Greenkeeper proposed the installation of a drinking fountain to provide fresh, natural water for golfers and visitors.
With the support of a local sponsor, the fountain was successfully installed, making use of the natural spring while reducing the need for bottled drinking water. By encouraging golfers to refill reusable bottles, the initiative helps minimise single-use plastic waste and promotes more sustainable behaviour across the course.
This project demonstrates how local natural resources can be used responsibly to improve the visitor experience while supporting the club’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
