We have recently purchased and installed a new line of on course recycle stations; our aim is to control where and how our guests are getting rid of their litter on the golf courses. The recycle stations are constructed using recycled plastic from milk cartons. Previously, we had waste bins on all tees; this has now been replaced by recycling stations placed at 3 points on each of the two 18 hole courses we have. The guests can now deposit their litter into designated general waste and recycle bins. Given that the recycling stations are larger and can hold more litter, we are emptying the bins less often, thus using less fuel in our vehicles for the collection. This change has made a significant change to the resort, and the comments from our guest have been hugely positive.
