Monitoring clip yield to assist in reducing inputs

Queenwood Golf Club

England

We collect grass clippings from designated greens and track the volume of grass being cut. Our aim is to keep clippings under 10 ml per square meter before applying a plant growth regulator and above 5 ml per square meter before applying fertiliser. We also factor in climatic conditions and growth degree days for plant metabolism.

By utilising this approach, we can precisely forecast the timing for applying resources, thereby aiding in reducing inputs and saving money in the long term.
