In November, a large group of members worked together with our greenkeepers to protect and preserve the heather on our course.

Heather is a pioneer plant which grows on open sandy soils. Pine saplings, blackberries and grasses can overgrow the heather. Together we removed the unwanted species by hand and cleaned the heather on the 6th and 7th holes.
