Of the 83ha that belongs to Nordcentre Golf & Country Club, only 25ha are intensively managed. Since 2010 we have been actively working to reduce maintained rough areas to provide a more valuable natural habitat for 120+ species of birds and are cut only once per year at a time which does not disturb their nesting.

Plans are in place to increase this area by further 1.2ha. The promotion of native grassland has been well accepted by golfers as it is this focus on a smaller area that allows us to focus on improving the quality of the playing turf areas.
