LIV Sentosa 2024 was a significant golf event that highlighted our commitment to sustainability. Combining high-level competition with eco-friendly initiatives, the tournament made important strides in setting a positive example for responsible sports events. Notably, we powered 40% of the event using renewable energy, helping to reduce over 58,000 kg of CO2 emissions. Water usage was also reduced by 30% through the use of low-flow sanitation systems, and we achieved a 99% landfill diversion rate by recycling and repurposing waste. Additionally, we donated materials, such as golf balls and turf, to local groups and contributed $50,000 to environmental charities.
The inaugural LIV Golf Sustainability Summit brought together over 60 attendees to discuss and promote sustainability efforts. LIV Sentosa 2024 demonstrated that sustainability and top-level sports can go hand in hand, setting a strong foundation for future events. We remain committed to advancing both the sport of golf and environmental responsibility, continuing our journey toward a more sustainable future.
