With the aim of preventing plastic waste during the US Kids Venice Open, plastic bottle compactors have been installed at the courses of Golf della Montecchia, Golf Frassanelle, and Golf Terme di Galzignano, the event venues. This was made possible through an agreement between the organizers and COREPLA, a government consortium overseen by the Ministry of the Environment responsible for collecting and recycling plastic. The message reached the young players, their families, and all spectators who took part in the event, who were also engaged through a reward system for those who inserted bottles into the compactor.
