Leaving room for natural flora and fauna

Minthis Golf Club

As part of the Minthis Philosophy and our approach to protect and enhance the existing nature, we are leaving large areas of golf course native rough untouched. All vineyards on the golf course are protected as ESA (environmentally sensitive area). The olive grove areas are only being pruned and cultivated in anticipation for a winter olive harvest. All native areas outside of the golf course boundary are left undisturbed.

With the opening of a new Par 3 hole in 2018, we took the opportunity to grow a wildflower meadow amidst the golf course in a non-playing area. These are just a few of the steps undertaken to keep the golf course natural and to leave room for existing flora and fauna to flourish.
