The Anvaya Cove Golf and Sports Club spans 75 hectares within a 700-hectare mixed-use development. Of this, only 35 hectares are dedicated to turfed golf areas and landscaping, while the remaining land is preserved as forest, grassland, and sand beach habitats. This conservation effort ensures that 40% of the land remains a sanctuary for wildlife, promoting biodiversity and ecological balance.
Preserving such areas is crucial. The Philippines is considered one of the world's biodiversity hotspots; however, over 70% of the country's original habitat has been lost, and at least 700 species are now threatened, primarily due to human activities. By creating a safe haven for many species, we aim to counteract this decline while engaging our golfers to appreciate and protect the natural landscape.
