Lahinch Golf Club recently hosted a course walk for their members to educate them around the flora and fauna present on the golf course.
A group of members, led by course manager Brian McDonagh, were invited to learn about the wildflowers and wildlife that are both preserved and encouraged across the links. Each member was given a copy of the clubs ‘ECOLINKS’ booklet and encouraged to tick off the wildflower, bird and creature checklists as they progressed around the golf course.
Through this walk, we aim to enlighten our members about the invaluable contribution of our golf course to a wide range of species, essential for the preservation of a balanced local ecosystem. Our goal is to inspire them to actively contribute to fostering nature in any way they can.
