La Cala Resort's new solar initiative

La Cala Resort

Spain

Starting in 2022, La Cala Resort took steps in their sustainability journey by installing solar panels on the roofs of its maintenance facilities. These solar panels now generate an impressive 160 kilowatts of clean energy per hour, benefiting the popular Clubhouse area. Encouraged by the initial success, La Cala has extended its solar panel installation efforts to include administration offices. The resort's future plans involve expanding these panels to cover parking spaces and implementing energy-efficient LED lighting in hotel rooms and clubhouse areas.

By adopting these solar panels, La Cala Resort actively contributes to the reduction of its carbon footprint. The reduced reliance on grid electricity enhances energy independence, ensuring a sustainable future for energy consumption whilst reducing costs.
