2022
Alongside renovating the irrigation system, the golf club has enjoyed a new connected weather station since 2021 which monitors the weather locally providing real-time information on the wind, solar radiation, rain, humidity as well as evapotranspiration levels.
Gaining greater insights on the daily water needs of the course, this modern approach to irrigation scheduling has been a key aspect of the club’s effort to reduce its water usage, optimise its cultural practices and improve turf quality. This new tool has also played a key role in tracking local climate change and has been of great help to mitigate damages from droughts and to adjust practices in the increasing uncertain local climate Belgium has been facing recently.
