In 2017 Aphrodite Hills Golf Course has undergone a €2.5 million investment by renovating and reconstructing the greens and bunkers. During this time there was a lot of time spent researching the correct type of bentgrass for our climate here in Cyprus.

The management wanted to have bentgrass as it still is widely viewed as the superior putting surface for golf courses. The main factors that led to the choice of the 007 bentgrass were; quick establishment, heat tolerance, competitiveness against poa annua and high resistance to disease - all of these make it a more sustainable grass choice for our course.
