At Lincoln Golf, we have made several energy-efficient investments to enhance sustainability and improve operational efficiency. One key initiative is the Solar Panel Project within our Greenkeeping complex, which harnesses renewable energy to power the course irrigation system and greens equipment. Additionally, we’ve recently invested in five new electric buggies, a hybrid fairway mower, and an electric Workman utility vehicle.
At the clubhouse, we’ve installed a Smart Energy Free air cooling system that utilises ambient air to power and cool our bar cellar when temperatures drop below 10°C, helping reduce electricity costs. The solar panels at the maintenance complex now power all our electric and hybrid equipment—including six electric golf carts, eight hybrid ride-on mowers, and two electric leaf blowers.
Even more impressively, the solar panels generate surplus energy, which is sold back to the grid. Additionally, a green power supplier is used for the clubhouse and other buildings, ensuring that all electricity is sourced from renewable energy.
