Introducing insect hotels and removing non-native trees

Ganton Golf Club

Recently here at Ganton a considerable amount of woodland management has been carried out including the removal of non-native trees such as Betula Pendula. This has allowed us to experiment with these areas by installing insect hotels with even more planned to be added throughout the winter in preparation for the spring/summer months ahead.

Additionally, all the wood that is removed from the golf course is split and seasoned on-site to further reduce the impact of purchasing fuels from external suppliers.
