In 2023, various information boards for players and bird watchers were installed throughout the course, detailing the species inhabiting the ecological compensation zones and the maintenance work carried out in these areas. This initiative was undertaken in collaboration with several nature associations, notably the study and report by Vogelwarte (https://www.vogelwarte.ch/en/), which is available on the golf club’s website.

The ecological compensation zones are a vital component of the course’s biodiversity efforts. The new information boards help raise awareness of the conservation measures in place. While the presence of many bird species is closely linked to these zones, the areas demonstrate varied impacts. The golf course holds significant potential for breeding birds, with the ponds being the most ecologically valuable. Rare species, such as the great reed warbler, little bittern, and tufted duck, have been observed. Additionally, the installation of new breeding walls for the bee-eater offers a valuable measure to support this endangered species.
