2024
The Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club has made raising awareness about sustainability and environmental issues a key goal. In 2023, six large information panels were installed on the club’s legendary Severiano Ballesteros Course, each focused on biodiversity themes such as native hedges, wet meadows, flower meadows, insect hotels, nesting boxes, and aquatic flora.
These panels aim to inform golfers and the general public about sustainability issues specific to golfing and to highlight the various environmental projects the club undertakes both on and off the course. Each panel introduces the topic, explains the initiatives implemented by the Golf Club, and offers practical tips for individuals to get involved in their own lives.
The project will continue in 2024 with the addition of new panels covering biodiversity and other sustainability topics.
