Timrå Golf Club on the Baltic Sea in the north of Sweden is planning, together with Storöringensfiskeklubb, to create 3 hectares of wetlands in order to increase the pike population in the area. In turn, the pike will help keep a better balance and stability among the fish populations in the area. This project is a first in the north of Sweden, but one of many, that aims to increase stability and balance in fish stocks with a main focus on improving the aquatic environment of the Baltic Sea.
