2022
We have a comprehensive habitat management policy and plan, which caters to all the ecology found on our site. Highlights include:
- 50+ nest boxes, homemade by members, numbered and monitored for bats, hedgehogs and nesting bird species.
- Monitoring of biodiversity; 43 bird species have been found on the estate.
- Established three wildflower zones in consultation with a wildflower specialist, to encourage insect activity such as bees and butterflies.
- Created educational/awareness-raising zones, for juniors and other members
- Installed four beehives in out of play areas managed by the Liverpool Beekeepers Association.
- Set up a plant swap stall.
