To improve the accessibility and drainage of the course whilst also looking after the soil conditions we have created two new paths. These paths connect the tee box to the fairway, on two holes, and are situated in areas where the ground can become waterlogged after extended rainfall. The paths should help to ease the impact on the soil from players walking through these wet areas, whilst also increasing accessibility for players around the course. The paths have been created using local materials such as slate that is sourced in nearby Bethesda. There are built in drains to help move any water away from playing areas. Overall we hope that the addition of the new paths both helps players moving around the course and also protects the course's crucial soil structure therefore improving the playing surface.
