Headland Junior Golf wins from recycling

Headland Golf Club

Commencing in September 2019, the Headland Golf Club entered a partnership with club member, Adam Rydwanski, to recycle our plastic and glass bottles as well as aluminium cans. Life member Robert Howard designed, co-ordinated, and constructed the dual receptacles which incorporated recycled "modwood" slats and they have been placed at every second tee. We have designated one bin for bottles, cans and plastics and the other bin for normal waste. In the first twelve months, 40,317 containers were recycled with over $2,000 being donated to our junior golfers. Our latest update is 52,324 containers since September 2019. Its a win-win for our juniors and less impact on landfill.
