We utilise IBC tanks to extract water from Lough Corrib, the second largest lake in Ireland, for our irrigation needs. Our usage of water is limited to times of drought, and we have obtained approval from the national parks and wildlife authorities due to the lake's abundant water resources.
Despite not having an irrigation system, we are fortunate to receive approximately 1200 millimeters of rainfall in the west of Ireland. On average, we only require 300 thousand liters of water to maintain our 9-hole course per year. This demonstrates that, under favorable conditions, water conservation practices enable us to achieve our goals responsibly.
