Harnessing solar energy for carbon and financial savings

Anvaya Cove Golf And Sports Club

Philippines

In mid-2017, Anvaya Cove Golf and Sports Club installed a 40 kW solar panel system at its maintenance building. This initiative has significantly reduced electricity costs, saving approximately 64% on energy expenses and reducing our Scope 2 carbon footprint from purchased electricity. Additionally, Tee House 2 operates on an off-grid solar power system, making it completely independent from the grid, further demonstrating the club's dedication to renewable energy.

Looking ahead, the club plans to expand solar panel installations to the clubhouse, aiming for greater electricity savings and a reduced carbon footprint. The subsequent savings can be reinvested into other areas of the club.
