At Golfclub Cromstrijen, we have the ambition to combine playing golf and improving biodiversity on our two courses. After the reintroduction of the beaver in 2018, a pair settled on our courses. This meant a huge improvement in biodiversity. Endangered animals such as beavers are critical to the quality of nature. Beavers are shy and we see them only at dusk and dawn. What we often do see is the result of their gnawing teeth on the trees. We try to protect some trees. On the other hand we accept that beavers do damage trees. Nowadays we do live together with several beaver families in good harmony.
