Hand cleaning lake minimises disturbance to ecosystem and reduces CO2

Hørsholm Golf has taken a greener approach to cleaning lakes. The lakes are cleaned by hand with the use of a scythe.

This is not only to minimise the amount of CO2 emissions caused by digging machinery but also to minimise the amount of disturbance caused to the water ecosystem. By using a scythe, we are also able to substantially reduce the amount of waste and cuttings produced, thereby eliminating the use of machinery to remove the waste subsequently.
