During the last ten years, the golf club has been working in partnership with the Jersey Environment Department to help improve the ecology of Les Blanches Banques sand dune eco-system which is a significantly valuable Site of Scientific Interest (SSI).
Further cementing this relationship, the club has made its existing boundary fence along the northern edge of its land available to the Jersey Environment Department to help with a sheep grazing trial in an area known as Le Carriere. Manx Loaghtan sheep will be used to graze the stabilised dune habitat throughout the year to help control holm oak and other evergreens during the winter months and privet, blackthorn and burnet rose during the summer.
