Gävle Golf Club, one of the country's largest, is committed to accessibility for all. In collaboration with the Swedish Inheritance Fund, the club has undertaken an initiative to ensure inclusivity. This includes staff training and facility adaptations to cater to individuals with disabilities.
Renovations have been made to the practice area to facilitate new activities tailored for people with disabilities. The club offers green card courses, theme days, competitions, and camps catering to various ages and disabilities.
Additionally, the project involved redesigning golf holes, creating pathways between tees and greens, improving parking lots and roads, and constructing a new practice area and parking spaces accessible for people with disabilities.
