Two years ago, we embarked on a R5.7 million golf course enhancement project in collaboration with Matkovich Turf Maintenance. This initiative has brought several notable improvements to our course:
- Enhanced Irrigation: The upgrade has led to more efficient water management, optimizing our irrigation system.
- Reconstructed Cart Path Verges: We’ve redesigned the verges to direct “hard surface” water into dams, improving irrigation efficiency.
- Updated Drainage Piping: We’ve reassessed and improved our drainage system to reduce scouring of the course’s embankments.
- Gabion Baskets in Forests: In line with our eco-estate protocols, gabion baskets have been installed in environmentally sensitive forest areas to prevent silt build-up and support plant rehabilitation.
