Flower totems for our bees

Golf Club Lugano

Switzerland

On the course, we often encounter dead trees. Instead of using tractors or other environmentally harmful methods to remove them, our greenkeeping team preserves the trunks to support the insects living on our course.

We've observed that ivy thrives on these tree remnants, providing an ideal habitat for our bees. This, in turn, helps them pollinate our course's flowers and gain energy for their hard work. We shared this approach with our committee members, who passed the news along to the rest of the membership, and it was warmly received by all.
