As part of a wider commitment to improving sustainability in its five-star location, Quinta do Lago’s security service Team 6 Vigiquinta has been equipped with a fleet of BMW i3 electric cars. With a new high-performance battery, the BMW i3 enables Quinta do Lago’s surveillance and first response drivers to cover 260 km without any emissions.
Team 6 Vigiquinta provide all residents and guests in Quinta do Lago an array of services, including surveillance, first response and medical assistance, as well as technical services. Using the most technically advanced monitoring centre in Portugal, and one of the best in Europe, they operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year combining electronic equipment and human vigilance to protect the resort, its residents, guests and staff.
Located in the Algarve’s protected Ria Formosa Natural Park, Quinta do Lago began working with the GEO Foundation in 2020, taking on its environmental stewardship programme. The luxury resort has introduced an environmental strategy with three key aims - to foster nature, conserve resources and support the community.
